AIChE National Capital Section Meeting Notice

Location: Union Street Public House in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia

Directions: Direction to Union Street from the Capitol Beltway (I-495):  Take the Route 1 North exit towards Old Town Alexandria.  Turn RIGHT on Franklin Street.  Franklin is a one-way and is at the first stop light.  Turn LEFT onto S. Washington Street.  After about 1/2 mile, turn right on Duke Street.  After about 1/3 mile, turn left on Union Street.  Union Street Public House is a brick building on your left.  

Parking: There is a parking garage on your left (usually $5) on Union Street before you reach the restaurant.  Street parking is available also.  http://www.ci.alexandria.va.us/recreation/general/where_to_park.html

METRO: For information regarding metro availability in Old Town Alexandria please visit http://alexandriava.gov/link/redir.pxe?www.wmata.com/metrorail/riding_metrorail.cfm. There is a King Street Metro Station.

Guests are welcome. Please provide Matt with the guest's name at the time you make your reservations. Please forward your reservations as soon as possible for adequate planning and a successful event.

Registered AIChE Student Members Eat Free! Contact Matt Davey for details. You must bring your student ID and current registration card to the meeting. 

Meal Selections-----Please tell Matt your meal selection at time of reservation.

For an appetizer, there is a choice of 1. Soup of the Day or 2. Mixed Fresh Greens Tossed with Tomato Vinaigrette
Dressing. 

For dinner, there is a choice of the following:

1. "My Bar, My Rules" Steak Sandwich Grilled Filet Mignon Prepared Medium Over an English Muffin with Melted Cheddar & Grilled Onions.  Served with French Fried Potatoes

2. Chef's Vegetarian Bowl (Asparagus, Spinach, Peppers, Garlic, Feta Cheese with Bowtie Pasta and Olive Oil)

3. Jumbo Lump Crabcake Sandwich Served on a Kaiser Roll with French Fried Potatoes, Cole Slaw & Tartar Sauce

4. Island Pork Chops Marinated in Meyer's Rum & Pineapple Juice.  Served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Drinks included are coffee, tea, and soda.

Desert is not included but will be available for purchase.
