Abstract: The presentation focuses on potential harmful
effects of aluminum in food products and municipal water supplies. In his talk, Mr. Gold identifies a potential link between this
aluminum and the onset of Alzheimer's Disease. He indicates that cost effective non-aluminum ingredients exist that can perform
the same functions in formulating food as the aluminum compounds now in use. Mr. Gold relays that the FDA has not publicly acknowledged
the potential hazard he presents nor has it acted on a 2005 petition to remove aluminum compounds
from the Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) list. Mr. Gold wishes to prompt a lively discussion on the topic and welcomes comments
and questions.
