Scott Willey

  Scott A. Willey is a retired colonel in the United States Air Force. He began his career in 1968 and served in a variety of command and staff positions from the squadron and system program office level through the Office of Secretary of Defense. These included work in the fields of weapon systems acquisition, aircraft maintenance, operational requirements, and education. Following retirement in 1995, he has devoted much of his time to the National Air and Space Museum. He started with the Museum as a docent at the Museum’s storage and restoration facility in 1977 and continues today as both a docent and restoration/collections management volunteer at several of the Museum’s locations. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering, an MS in Systems Management, and is a graduate and former
